A Relationship
& Marriage Prep Course
Designed for Modern Marriages
Welcome to the Relationship Foundations Course:
A Heart-Centered Framework for Lasting Love
Six Essential Parts, One Whole Marriage
Weather you are in the premarital stage, or twenty years in, the heart of this course is the same: to guide couples in learning how to be with one another in ways that build partnership, connection, trust, growth and long-lasting love.
A marriage grounded in kindness, understanding, and mutual growth is absolutely possible. It begins when both partners are willing to take responsibility for their part in creating the relationship — responding with care and intention. When each person shows up in service of the relationship, the space between you becomes something truly beautiful, even sacred. That’s where the magic lives. This is what I can help you grow.
- Foundational Communication Skills – how you speak to one another

Let’s Make Some Magic Together

Hi, let me introduce myself.
I’m Ellen Gregory, a marriage and family therapist and relationship coach, and I’ve spent the last 24 years walking alongside couples as they navigate the tender space between conflict and connection. After decades of listening, learning, and guiding, I’ve discovered a powerful and compassionate way to help couples rediscover each other — to build safety, deepen connection, and heal together.
I invite you to join me on this meaningful journey. What I call Thoughtful Relating is more than a method — it’s a heart-centered approach rooted in Imago Relationship Theory, trauma-informed practices like Internal Family Systems and Somatic Embodiment, and the real, lived stories of couples just like you.
This is a coaching program — not therapy — and that’s intentional. I’m here to open your eyes to a new way of being together: one grounded in presence, love, and kindness. I’ve created simple, transformative exercises and a companion workbook so you can continue growing even when I’m not in the room. Together, we’ll care for the space between you — your relationship — and I’ll give you the tools to nurture it with intention and grace.
Learn why this isn’t couples therapy.
Through intentional communication and the practices in my Couples Guidebook, you’ll begin to build the kind of marriage you’ve always hoped for — one rooted in love, understanding, and mutual care.
This is what we can accomplish together:
- A relationship grounded in love, kindness, and emotional safety, where both partners feel deeply valued and cared for and make a commitment to truly understand one another.
- A mutual desire to act in service of each other’s needs, responding not with resistance but with a heartfelt desire to support and serve.
- Clear and respectful moral agreements about boundaries — including how you engage with others, and navigate potential threats to the relationship.
- Shared power and equality in financial decisions, where both voices matter and control is replaced with collaboration.
- A sense of mutual responsibility for the emotional health of the relationship, where expectations are discussed openly, not assumed or demanded.
- A strong foundation of friendship and connection, where laughter, trust, and emotional intimacy are part of daily life.
- A commitment to growth on every level — as individuals, as a couple, and as partners who actively support each other’s healing and becoming.
- A collaborative parenting partnership, where both partners are emotionally influential, and aligned as a united team in all aspects of raising children.
- Cooperation for how extended family and in-laws are involved, where both partners openly discuss and agree on the role loved ones will play, so that boundaries, connection, and loyalty to the couple’s bond remain clear and respected.
