THE ANGER MANAGEMENT WORKBOOK · A 12-WEEK PROGRAM FOR MEN

It’s Your Time Now.

You deserve a life where frustration and anger have less of a hold on you.

Imagine feeling more at ease in your own life. Coming home after a long day and enjoying the people you love. Having a difficult conversation and feeling able to stay present, even when you disagree. Waking up in the morning feeling good about the man, husband, or father you are. Experiencing a loving, less reactive relationship. Have you been wanting that for a long time?

You work hard. You have responsibilities. You care about the people in your life. And sometimes, despite your best intentions, frustration seems to find its way into moments you wish you could enjoy.

Thoughtful Relating Anger Management 12 week workbook for men

You found this page for a reason.

You want to feel different. You want to respond differently. You have been searching for ways to have more peace within yourself and more connection with the people who matter to you. You want to understand who you are, why you are emotionally wired the way you are, how to develop practical skills for managing anger, and begin creating a different experience of your life and relationships.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling this way for a while.

You wake up wanting to have a good day. You have things to accomplish, people you love, and a life you want to enjoy. Yet somehow, frustration keeps finding its way into moments that matter to you.

Maybe it’s the little things. Someone asks you a question when you’re already overwhelmed. Your partner seems disappointed in you. Your kids aren’t listening. Something doesn’t go the way you expected, and you can feel your whole mood beginning to change.

Sometimes you recognize that you’re getting irritated. Other times, it seems to happen so quickly that you’re already reacting before you’ve had a chance to understand what you’re feeling. You might raise your voice, become short with the people around you, or pull away because you know you’re getting too frustrated to keep talking.

And when the moment passes, you feel guilt. You feel shame. You get angry with yourself for letting that happen… again!

You have promised that next time you’ll handle things differently. You genuinely want to. 1000% You just don’t know how.

“Imagine moving through your day understanding what’s happening in your body, knowing what you need, and feeling able to choose how you care for yourself and respond to the people around you.”

A Different Approach to Anger Management

You don’t experience anger in a vacuum. Your reactions happen in the middle of everyday life. In conversations with your partner, moments with your children, stressful situations, and even the messages you carry inside about yourself. The relationships and experiences that have shaped you influence what feels threatening, how your body responds, and what you do next. Sometimes your nervous system reacts to emotional danger before you’ve had a chance to make sense of what’s happening. That rush of adrenaline can feel automatic, even when you genuinely want to respond differently.

This workbook helps you slow that process down. You’ll begin to understand your own patterns, recognize the early signs of activation in your body, and practice breathing and other body-based skills that create a little more time between what you feel and how you respond. And because change takes practice, the program gives you something to return to five days a week—a chance to notice yourself, try new skills, and gradually bring what you’re learning into your relationships and everyday life.

And the goal is not just learning how to reduce anger. I want you to feel more in charge of how you move through your life. That means learning to care for yourself in all the ways that matter, recognizing your feelings and needs, and finding words for what you want to express. You’ll practice speaking up for yourself while staying connected to the people you love, even when you disagree. As you build these skills, you can begin creating a life that feels better to live—not only in your relationships with others, but in your relationship with yourself.

THE MEAT OF THE PROGRAM

What You’ll Learn Along the Way

Recognize what happens before anger takes over.
You’ll learn to notice the first signs of frustration—the rush of adrenaline, the tension in your body, the thoughts that begin to race. As you become more familiar with those early signals, you can begin to slow down and create a little time to choose what happens next.

Understand why certain moments affect you so deeply.
Your reactions have a history. We’ll explore how your experiences, relationships, and the messages you’ve carried about yourself can shape what feels threatening today. You’ll begin to recognize familiar patterns with greater curiosity and understand why a moment in the present can bring up feelings you’ve known for a long time.

Learn how to settle your body and respond with more choice.
When your nervous system senses danger—even emotional danger—your body can prepare you to defend yourself before you’ve had time to think. You’ll practice breathing and other body-based skills that help you work with that activation, so you have more room to decide how you want to respond.

Step out of autopilot and learn to care for yourself.
We’ll look at the stress you carry, the pace of your days, and what happens when you move from one responsibility to the next without checking in with yourself. You’ll learn to recognize your feelings and needs, make room for what matters to you, and develop a personal care practice that supports you throughout your life.

Understand what happens between you and the people you love.
You’ll begin to recognize how your sensitivities, expectations, and ways of seeking connection show up in your relationships. We’ll explore how to pause when something feels personal, become curious about another person’s experience, and remember that you can care about someone’s feelings while still having your own.

Learn to speak for yourself and find a different way forward.
You’ll practice expressing what you feel, think, want, and need from an “I” position. Instead of “You’re never home,” you might learn to say, “I miss you, and I wish we had more time together.” You’ll also practice making requests, respecting what’s outside your control, and returning to a conversation to repair things when a moment hasn’t gone the way you hoped.
